A Bit About Me

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Jessyca Hayward is a licensed clinical social worker born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated high school from University Christian School in 2012, and attended and graduated college at Clark Atlanta University with her Bachelors of Social Work degree in 2016. She also attended and graduated from Florida State University with her Master's of Social Work degree in 2017. Jessyca has experience in working with children, teens, adults, and families for over 5 years.  She moved to Atlanta, Georgia and began working in the mental health field in various positions: Foster care Case worker, substance use case manager, mental health therapist, and program manager. She recently moved back home to be with family and friends, and to grow the love for her career where she began her journey in life. She loves going to the beach, spending time with friends, cooking, and meditating.  Jessyca began Mindful Culinary Therapy because she has a passion for food and cooking. She learned how to cook and bake by her mother since she was 10 years old. The lessons and recipes she has learned in the kitchen with her mother allowed her to have fonder memories, stronger bond, and unconditional love that would last for a lifetime. Jessyca's goal is to recreate that feeling with her clients in her practice. She uses the form of cooking as a mindfulness technique that encourages one to use all five senses and practice being in the present moment, all while utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed and Psychoeducation approach.
